Cousine Island Resort, with an area of only 25 hectares, is one of the smaller of the granitic islands, and is situated approximately 6 kilometres m off the west coast of Praslin. The Island is a private nature reserve, home to five of the Seychelles endemic birds as well as a variety of other endemic flora and fauna, and has the status of being the only island in the archipelago free of alien mammals.

Cousine Island can only be reached by helicopter and it is this seclusion that makes it such an attractive haven for people wanting absolute privacy.

A maximum of eight guests are accommodated at any one time and share the island with its natural inhabitants, offering some of the closest encounters with nature available in the Seychelles. As the Island's creatures have no natural predators, they have no fear of humans and often one has the feeling of not knowing quite who is watching whom!

There are only four individual villas, all built in the Old French Colonial style, nestling amongst the natural vegetation, 30 metres from the beach. Each villa is positioned to ensure maximum privacy. The villas offer the highest degree of comfort with spacious bedrooms, separate lounge, large bathroom with Jacuzzi and shower inside and outside, front and rear patios. Private dining in your villa can be requested and made available.

The villas are fully air-conditioned, and each has a total floor space of 175 square metres. Each villa is equipped with a refrigerator, ice machine, tea, and coffee making facilities; digital Satellite Television (DStv), CD, direct dial telephone, personal safe, and hair dryer. All villas have the best sea views in the Seychelles, with the islands of Cousin, Praslin, and Aride in the background.

The Pavilion has an open-air dining area with lounge, library and broadband internet access and a fresh water swimming pool. The Gecko bar leads off from the Pavilion giving you a breathtaking view of the Blue Ocean and lush green neighbouring islands.

Migratory birds consider Cousine home during 6 months of the year. Hawksbill Turtles come ashore to nest and Green Turtles, rare to the Seychelles, nest occasionally throughout the year.
